My friend, Mubarak Alasinrin, whom I'd known for many years while in the North, wrote a rejoinder to my article on my submission that, should Nigeria divide, the North would pay dearly and suffer most.

While I continue to respect his view, I have no choice but to disagree with the view he shared here as misleading, and far from reality.

Mubarak is a scholar, with many degrees and still furthering his studies. He's a teacher and an analyst whom I had had the opportunity to meet in person, and we'd written articles together. That's about seven or eight years ago. green evening dress
